Heavy-duty gas blower with reduced noise and pulsation
The ROOTS® RGS-J is a low noise large rotary blower engineered for continuous-duty industrial gas applications. Proprietary WHISPAIR™ technology controls pressure equalization to reduce noise, pressure pulsation and power loss, with documented noise reduction of approximately 5 dBA.
Designed for demanding industrial service, this low noise rotary lobe blower delivers pressure up to 35 psig (2413 mbar), vacuum to 16” Hg (539 mbar) and flows up to 43,200 cfm (73440 m3/hr). Heavy-duty construction, configurable horizontal or vertical flow arrangements and gas-service design make the RGS-J a quiet industrial blower solution for critical gas-handling processes.

- Efficient Sealing Mechanisms: Piston rings and lip-type oil seals minimize air leakage and prevent lubricant from entering the air chamber, with a hydrodynamic seal on the drive shaft preventing oil leaks.
- Efficient Lubrication: Carburized and ground alloy steel spur timing gears are splash lubricated at both ends, with piston rings and lip-type oil seals preventing air leakage and lubricant entry into the air chamber.
- Versatile Mounting Options: Detachable steel mounting feet allow easy adaptation to vertical or horizontal installation requirements, with extended shafts available for different outlet configurations.
- Warranty Coverage: A warranty period of Twenty-Four months from date of original unit start-up or 30 months from date of original shipment is provided.
